Globetrotting Ducks
- Archaeology students and faculty members have conducted fieldwork in such widespread locales as San Estevan, a Mayan village in Belize; the Micronesian garden island of Pohnpei; Hrisbru, Iceland; Chiapas, Mexico; and Rapa in French Polynesia
- Two theater arts costume design students have won recognition and exhibition of their work at the Prague Quadrennial for Theatre Design, the most prominent theater design conference in the world
- Three UO architecture students won a 2005 International Union of Architects prize for their design of a mobile voting booth to help spread democracy in the Republic of Congo
- UO psychologists from the Couples and Family Therapy program are working with Chinese colleagues to develop a family therapy program at Beijing Normal University
